Brahms Requiem with the Aubrey Singers @ St Peter's Church, W11
April 12, 2025 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
St. Peter’s Church
Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill, W11 2PN, England
Join us for a special evening as we present one of the most beautiful and moving masterpieces of the choral repertoire: Johannes Brahms' "Ein deutsches Requiem". The Requiem is Brahms' monumental but also deeply personal expression of human emotion in the face of life, death and the hope for eternal peace. For generations, the Requiem has captivated audiences worldwide with its soaring choruses and moments of pure serenity and joy. Conducted by Jamie Powe, we are proud to be performing this work with soloists and piano duet, as written by Brahms for its first London performance in 1861. The soloists (baritone and soprano, to be announced shortly) and choir will be accompanied on the piano by Harry Sever and Nick Salwey.
